2018 PARTNER INFO

PARTNER OPPORTUNITIES

Wild Ones Chapters in Minnesota would love to partner with other non-profit organizations with mission statements that align with ours. Partner Organizations may be eligible for a complimentary space in our exhibitor showroom or other discounts when they provide help with production and/or promotion of our conference. In addition, the organization names and/or logos of Partners will be featured on conference signage and promotional materials.

New for 2018 - a registration form specifically designed for Conference Partners. While Partners are attendees and exhibitors, ticket prices and benefits of Partners are different. Having a form specific for Partner registration should make things simpler for all. Note that Partner registration is by invitation only - see below for more details.

DESIGN WITH NATURE CONFERENCE
FEBRUARY 17, 2018, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall in Anderson Student Center
University of St. Thomas, St. Paul Campus

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The annual Design With Nature (DWN) Conference attracts environmentally active enthusiasts from amateur gardeners to professional landscapers and educators. It is a great place to meet potential customers, clients, supporters and volunteers. This year's program provides several opportunities throughout the day for attendees to spend time with exhibitors. Guests will take home an Exhibitor Guide with your listing to keep for future reference.

Our conference speakers will address interesting and timely topics and we expect to draw a good crowd. Keynote speaker Jared Rosenbaum, a field botanist, native plant grower, and restoration practitioner, will discuss integrating native edible and medicinal plants into restorations to create native plant communities that support humans as well as wildlife. Our other speakers will also speak to connections and community, including how the power of community groups can lead to successful restoration projects. Check the Speakers page for more details on the speakers and their topics.

We’re returning to the venue we’ve used for the past two years, conveniently located in the heart of the Twin Cities. The James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall in Anderson Student Center on the St. Paul Campus of the University of St. Thomas is a state-of-the-art conference hall with a brand new sound system. Woulfe Alumni Hall is an attractive space featuring floor to ceiling north facing windows. All the presentations and the Exhibitor Showroom will be held in the Hall, giving attendees easy access to the Exhibitors. There is a bright and open reception area outside of Woulfe Alumni Hall which will be used for registration and the lunch buffet. The layout functions well for both exhibitors and attendees.

PARTNER QUALIFICATIONS

Non-profit organizations can be considered for Conference Partnership if they
• Have a mission statement that aligns with the Wild Ones mission statement: to promote environmentally sound landscaping practices to preserve biodiversity through preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities.
• Are willing and able to help with production or promotion of the conference.

There are a number of different ways for an organization to help. For example, sending email notices about the conference to your organization's email list is one way to help with promotion. The conference is completely organized by volunteers, so providing expertise or assistance could be a way to help with the conference production. We can come up with more ideas if you are interested in helping out.

Registration for Conference Partners is by invitation only. If you are interested in becoming a Conference Partner or would like more information, please contact our Exhibitor Chair. Note that it is possible to be a Conference Partner without exhibiting, or even without attending the conference.
