Professor and Chair of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology
Doug Tallamy is a professor in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware, where he has authored 84 research publications and has taught Insect Taxonomy, Behavioral Ecology, Humans and Nature, Insect Ecology, and other courses for 34 years. Chief among his research goals is to better understand the many ways insects interact with plants and how such interactions determine the diversity of animal communities. His book Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens was published by Timber Press in 2007 and was awarded the 2008 Silver Medal by the Garden Writers' Association. The Living Landscape, co-authored with Rick Darke, was published in 2014. Among his awards are the Garden Club of America Margaret Douglas Medal for Conservation and the Tom Dodd, Jr. Award of Excellence.
Dr. Forest Isbell
Associate Director, Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, University of Minnesota
Dr. Isbell completed his PhD in Ecology at Iowa State University in 2010. After being a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University in Montreal and at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, he then became the Haines Family Professor of Aboveground Ecology at the University of Georgia. He has since returned to Minnesota and is currently the Associate Director of Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. He has published in the world’s top scientific journals and is a lead author on multiple reports of the United Nations Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.

Nathalie began working in sustainable design in 1994 after earning a biology and chemistry major at Hope College. She then went back to school for a Master in Landscape Architecture in 1996, and has worked at Kestrel Design Group since 1999.
